Our sincere thanks to all of them for their generous participation in this contest.

We had record participation this year, with 36 photographers each submitting at least one photograph for consideration. Overall, there were more than 115 photographs submitted.

All photos were checked for eligibility:

• Pictures must be taken along the Byway route
• Files must be named according to the naming conventions laid out in the contest instructions

Those images meeting the criteria were then presented to the WNYSSB Board of Directors for the first cut. The entire board agreed that it was very difficult to make our selections — so many of the photos were absolutely spectacular!

All photographs receiving at least three votes from Board members in either the standalone camera division (nine images selected) or the mobile device camera division (eleven images selected) were then passed along to our panel of professional photographers who then determined our winners.
